You Will Be Mine All Mine

Sunday had to be a laundry day and so I got that started in the late morning. On my way to the Laundromat I saw a tall young guy with an Abe Lincoln beard who looked erratically high on something raving either ecstatically or ironically about how wonderful Jesus is. It always seems to be tall slim guys that do the Abe Lincoln beard. I finished just after noon and on the way home saw a guy who'd precisely shaved the hair on each side of his head that framed his bald area into two straight lines, making two sharp angles. Way to take control!
I had cheese and crackers and a couple of gourmet oatmeal raisin cookies with yogourt for lunch.
I weighed 89.7 kilos after my siesta.
It rained and so I didn’t take a long bike ride.
I worked on my review of the Stop Shocking Our Mothers and Grandmothers rally and finished that night.
I had an egg and a piece of toast with a beer for dinner and watched two episodes of Sea Hunt.
The first story begins with Mike doing research underwater in Silver Springs, Florida when he sees a fishing line in front of him. He looks up to the surface and sees a beautiful woman pretending to be fishing while she poses for photos. He attaches a note to the hook and when the woman pulls it up she reads, “Lunch with me?” The least realistic part of the story is that she would give a guy the A-Ok sign through three meters to a guy whose face is totally covered by scuba gear. They have a picnic and she confesses that she can’t swim. She agrees to let Mike teach her. Susan does clerical work for a travelling carnival owned by her father. When he goes to see her there he becomes involved in a crisis. The carnival’s prize alligator, Caesar has escaped into the nearby lake and if authorities find out then the carnival could lose its licence. Mike comes along with two of Kennedy’s men to search for the gator. But one of them, Frank is attacked and injured. Mike decides to go after Caesar with scuba gear. He searches the lake and sees it just as it’s about to bite the hand of a woman in a canoe with her arm in the water. He grabs its tail. There is a spectacular scene of a stuntman wrestling with the alligator under water until he manages to put a noose around its jaws and haul it in.
In the second story some Mexican fishermen in Baja, California get an old style spherical Japanese magnetic mine with spikes caught in their net. Mike Nelson has been teaching the younger fisherman to skin dive and so Mike is contacted. Because the mine is magnetic he cannot wear a tank because contact with metal would cause the mine to explode and so he has to hold his breath when he dives. When he goes to free the mine from the net it has broken free and has begun floating towards the harbour. They locate it again and Mike manages to tie a rope to its mooring ring but when they try to pull it out to sea the mooring ring breaks off. Finally they catch the mine in a fishing net and save the town. They haul it to where the navy can defuse it.
The young fisherman’s fiancé was played by Ana Maria Majalca.
