February 3, 1992: Nancy wanted me to come with her and care for the baby while she shopped but I had to work

Thirty years ago today

            On Monday I got a call at 5:45 telling me to go to Tormans to unload trucks. I finished at 15:00 again. Nancy had called the night before and wanted me to come with her and care for the baby while she shopped today, but I didn't know at the time if I would be working. When I called her after work she said she didn't want to do it in the afternoon. I told her I would know after 22:00 if I was working on Tuesday and when I found out I would be free I called her back. She said her mother would drive her down to my place in the morning.
