Thirty years ago today
On Tuesday I bought a Christmas tree very cheap. I met Mike Copping at The World’s Biggest Bookstore and we hung out. We walked, went for a beer, walked and walked some more and then he drove me to the Gladstone Hotel. When I walked in the Art Bar Brenden Cahill was already setting up his video equipment. He interviewed me and I said I’m only there for myself as is everyone else and that I only really liked my own poetry. He videotaped everyone who performed. Mike left and then Mary Milne arrived late, but she was also interviewed.
