Thirty years ago today
On Monday morning I worked at the Ontario College of Art until noon and then went to Tom Smarda’s place to practice for my November 1 show at Crickets. While I was there I called my lawyer and he told me I had to go to my bank and put a trace on the money order that I’d taken out for September’s rent.
That evening I worked at the Arts and letters Club. It was an interesting and very fancy place. Apparently Norman Jewison was a member and Pierre Trudeau had eaten there. I worked until 21:30 and then went to the open stage at Crickets. Mary Milne drove me home.
