January 12, 1994: I went to the washroom and when I came out Angeline was gone

Thirty years ago today

            On Wednesday I worked another short day at Northern Secondary School. I was broke and so I called Angeline to tell her that I wouldn’t be able to meet her at Fat Albert’s open stage because I couldn’t afford it. She said she’d give me $10 and so I went. I was number two on the list and performed “Angeline”. She was twenty second and after she’d done her set I went to the washroom. When I came out she was gone.
