Thirty years ago today
I worked with Norm today and he took me to The Underground Railroad for lunch. We had orange roughy with collard greens and rice. It was an incredible meal and the waitresses were gorgeous.
Nancy was depressed because she hadn’t found a job yet. I comforted her before she left for her accounting class.
Brenda called to thank me for sending her the collage and the poem but she told me to stop carrying a torch for her. She said that but whenever she was depressed she changed her tune. I didn’t know whether she loved me or not. Maybe sometimes she just missed my big basket. That was enough for me. I would have taken her back just for the sex.
