Thirty years ago today
On Thursday morning I got a call from the woman who'd left me the message the night before. Marie had a nice voice. She was a concert pianist and a pilot. She was married. She was in a wheelchair because of MS. We talked pleasantly for a while, but I had to go to work, so we made a date to meet on Friday and hung up. I worked at Central Technical School and after that, I got a last-minute call to pose that night and the next Saturday morning for the Alumni at the Ontario College of Art. There were a few artists there that I remembered.
