Thirty years ago today
At
work Norm told me a joke about two Newfoundlanders in Toronto who wanted to buy
a car so they could drive back east. But all they had was $35, which was only
enough to buy a camel that obeyed traffic lights, etc.
I got a letter
from Tom along with a copy of the latest issue of the magazine that he’s
involved with. There was no word yet on whether or not they’d decided to print
my submissions. Tom suggested that I send them something other than criticism.
Nancy
did some typing for me, made an appointment for me with Carmita and put some of
my clothes away. She also bought me a sheet and a pillow.
