August 17, 1990: I put the flowers in a beer bottle and placed them in front of Nancy's door

Thirty years ago today

After finishing work at 16:30 I washed up at the Petro-Can, bought a pop and caught the York Mills bus to the subway. I cashed my cheque in the machine at King and Yonge, bought a milkshake and got on the streetcar. On the way home I picked up some beer, bought salami, bread, cheese, juice and some flowers.
When I got home I put the flowers in a beer bottle and set them on Nancy's doorstep.
That night at around 22:30 Mia was visiting while I got ready to go out. I was about to leave when when Susan came by with a kitten and asked if she could leave it at my place for a while. But Mia asked if she could keep it at her place.
Since Nancy wasn't home Susan went to the Claremont with me. She told me that Nancy had a new job answering phones for an escort service.
