PowerPoint

On Monday morning I finished memorizing “Malaise en Malaisie” (Malaise in Malaysia) by Serge Gainsbourg and started looking for the chords. I found one set right off the bat and there may be more because I found this song was also recorded by Vanessa Paradis. I started transcribing the chords from that first set but may not have time to work on this on Tuesday because I am doing my class presentation at 10:00 that day and may still have to prepare for it tomorrow morning.
I weighed 87.8 kilos before breakfast.
I returned to working on my presentation at around 11:00 and after 45 minutes had chopped off another page of text from six pages to five. I had three more to get rid of. An hour later another page was gone so I had one page left to whittle out of the text.
I weighed 87.6 kilos before lunch.
Before I took a siesta, I was eleven lines over two pages.
When I got up, I had to use the toilet four times. Each time I was done and cleaned up I had to go again. I felt a lot lighter when I went for my bike ride. It was three degrees outside and so I didn't wear sweatpants under my trousers or an extra sweatshirt. There seem to be a group of guys with shovels hired to remove the snow that the ploughs can't get at. I saw a few chipping away at the ice along the edges of the streets. At one place on Brock Avenue, there's still a snowbank cutting about two meters into the street. The Bloor bike lane was pretty wet. When I turned south on Ossington there was a UPS guy loading his truck and wearing his uniform shorts. It wasn't that warm. In fact, it was cooler heading south so I put my hood up. Queen Street was a lot clearer than it's been in a while.
            I weighed 86.9 kilos at 16:45.
I went back to work on my presentation, and it didn’t take long to get it down to two pages. But then I wanted to add some of my own views, so I sat down and wrote a couple of pages of text in longhand and then I typed that into my presentation document. Then of course it was over two pages again and so I edited out a little more.
After dinner, I was done with the text portion and so I started looking for a download of PowerPoint. I hadn’t realized it costs money. I looked around for a free download and there were some free trial versions but nothing really free. Then it occurred to me that as a student at U of T PowerPoint might be available. I did a search and found out I could get it along with the whole package from Microsoft Office off the U of T mail website. Once I’d figured out how to start downloading Office it took an hour to download. After that, I noticed that all my documents were now in Word 365. I started trying to figure out how to use PowerPoint and I worked until 1:00 when I had my slide show about half completed. I went to bed exhausted.
